   D.O.V.E. Muzik [Development of Vital Energies Muzik] is a Chicago, IL USA based Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-Hop record label and studio. D.O.V.E. Muzik, founded by Tzaddi Wadadah I aka “Fada T” and friends circa 1986 with the mission to produce, record and publish their own music.

 

   Presently Tzaddi Wadadah II, son of Fada T, who is in the position of producer, engineer, DJ and songwriter, has been leading D.O.V.E. Muzik since 2012. After a short break from in the 90’s, D.O.V.E. Muzik has reemerged and is now proceeding on with it’s musical mission to create “vital energies” for the people all over the earth in need of vital energy to edify their soul.

 

   D.O.V.E. Muzik as a record label features its main artists such as Princess Kazayah, Nego Hights, Ras I-Dre and Ras Arcane. D.O.V.E. Muzik is also responsible for producing and publishing singles from various artists as well.

 

   D.O.V.E. Muzik blends a deep roots & culture Reggae sound with Dancehall & Hip Hop fusions and influences. D.O.V.E. Muzik family is working hard to bring you all great music to edify and uplift with full enjoyment. The label has had recent successes in releasing music and building its catalogue. The first recording released on the label was one called “Sentimental Girl + Sentimental Dub” featuring world-renowned brass horn player “Rass Brass” (featuring Dean Fraser, Ronald “Nambo” Robinson & Cedric) which was released in 1986 on 12” vinyl. Later Tzaddi Wadadah II worked with recording artist from Belize Nego Hights releasing his debut album “Judgment Morning” in the year 2012. This was the debut work for Nego & Wadadah II but not D.O.V.E. Muzik as a label. Later in 2013 Princess Kazayah released her debut work called “Troddin: The DubTape” a mixtape featuring 12 selections from the songstress. Working with Ras I-Dre D.O.V.E. released various singles and videos as well as a mixtape entitled “Ras I-Dre: The No Limit Ras Mixtape.” Also with Ras Arcane on the Chimurenga Riddim release with a hit single entitled “One Love, One Blood.” D.O.V.E. Muzik has worked with many collaborators across the globe, and most recently with a young South African producer named “Riddim Yut” when releasing the project called “Chimurenga: The People’s Struggle EP” which was released in 2016 featuring artist from Trinidad & Tobago, Tanzania, Jamaica and the USA. “Steaming Team” a song produced by Wadadah II and co-written by Ras I-Dre and Princess Kazayah was recently released in 2017. Also Princess Kazayah remixing her song “You Can Do It” from the “Chimurenga” project with a major feature from international reggae artist Warrior King. More music is definitely on its way!

 

   The D.O.V.E. Muzik family has also had the opportunity to travel and share the stage with some very outstanding artists and musicians. In 2013 Reggae recording artist Fyah Sthar shared the stage with Nego Hights & Princess Kazayah. In 2014 Wadadah took on a world arena in Jamaica at Kingston Dub Club. In 2015 Princess Kazayah performed with the Uprising Roots Band, Kelissa, Mr. Williamz, Micah Shemaiah, Everton Blender, Cali P, Horace Andy, Pentateuch, Keznamdi, Exile Di Brave, Iziniga IION, Suns of Dub and Keida. In 2016 Nego Hights, Princess Kazayah & Ras I-Dre opened for international Reggae artist & Rastafari advocate Sizzla Kalonji at the Portage Theatre in Chicago after travelling to Mexico and Belize on a musical journey. In 2017 Ras I-Dre, Nego Hights and Princess Kazayah opened for Turbulence the Future and Warrior King at the Reggae headquarters of the Mid-West (USA) The Wild Hare.

    

   The more they work, is the more they climb. D.O.V.E. Muzik is definitely working hard in the studio, on the stage and in the streets to bring more good music, better performances and more vital energies in these times.
